DOBERFEST
DOBERFEST is an educational event and fund raiser held by DPCH and
Houston Area Doberman Rescue (HADR) each spring, typically in April. HADR is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
DOBERFEST 2005 was the first DOBERFEST picnic and was held on April 23, 2005 at Bear Creek Park. Club members cooked up a storm and served more than 80 plates of delicious barbecue. Activities included photos, an obedience exhibition, a raffle, and other Dober-friendly activities. All proceeds benefited HADR and DPCH.
DOBERFEST 2006 was held on September 9th at Bear Creek Park. Despite the rain, there was a good turnout and club members served up 65 plates of barbecue. All proceeds benefited HADR.
DOBERFEST 2007 was held on Saturday, May 5th at George Bush Park, Pavilions 1 and 2, in conjunction with the Working Aptitude Evaluation. Events included Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluations, microchipping, doggie games, agility funtime, and a barbeque lunch provided by Grand Champion winning BBQ team. Proceeds benefited DPCH and HADR.
DOBERFEST 2008 was held April 5th at George Bush Park, Pavilions 1 and 2. Events included the Working Aptitude Evaluation (WAE), microchipping, costume contest, lectures, photos, and a great barbeque lunch.

DOBERFEST 2009 was held April 4th at Bear Creek Park, Pavilions 7 and 8. Events included microchipping, lectures, photos, an obedience demonstration, and a great barbeque lunch that raised $400 for HADR.
